Guide to No Child Left Behind -
No Child Left Behind (NCLB)
covers all states, school districts, and schools that accept Title 1
federal grants. Title 1 grants provide funding for remedial
education programs for poor and disadvantaged children in public
schools, and in some private programs. NCLB applies differently to
Title 1 schools than to schools that do not receive Title 1 grants.
However, one way or another, this law covers all public schools in
all states.

What
Teachers, Principals & School Administrators Need to Know
-
Did you know that 68 percent of fourth graders cannot read
proficiently at grade level?[1]
Did you know that 83 percent of twelfth graders are not proficient
in math [2] and that 82
percent of twelfth graders are not proficient in science [3]?
These statistics have held steady for years, leading to an increased
emphasis on accountability in the No Child Left Behind Act.
