IDEA 2004 Part C Proposed Regulations are now available and open for comment!The proposed amendments to the regulations governing the Early Intervention Program for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities would implement changes made to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004. Copies can be downloaded from the Federal eRulemaking Portal at http://www.regulations.gov/ 1. Select "Department of Education" from the Agency drop-down menu 2. Then select "Proposed Rules" from the Document Type drop-down menu 3. Click on "Submit" 4. You will see ED_FRDOC_0001-0005 Early Intervention Program for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities 5. Click on one of the "Views" icons for a pdf or html version of the Federal Register 6. You may submit your comments on the proposed regulations by clicking on the "Add Comments" icon You may also submit your comments via postal mail, commercial delivery, or hand delivery. The Department of Education will not accept comments by fax or by e-mail. Include the Docket ID - ED-2007-OSERS-131 - at the top of your comments and submit comments only one time. Comments must be received by July 23, 2007. Finally, oral comments can be provided during the scheduled public meetings. Specific locations for public meeting will be announced in a separate Federal Register posting. ¡Saludos! Departe de todos de la oficina de Garden City, KS. Pues las clases de las escuelas ya están fuera por el verano y yo sé que hay muchos niños felices disfrutando su descanso de verano. ¡Yo sé que mis hijas si! Yo espero que todos tengan muchas actividades divertidas planeadas, como ir a los campamentos, ir a nadar, irse de vacaciones etc. Yo solo quiero recordarles a todos los padres que traten de tener cuidado y se mantengan seguros durante el tiempo de verano. Use su bloqueador del sol, tome bastantes líquidos, y simplemente pasen unos tiempos felices juntos. Una de las cosas que yo también quiero que los padres recuerden es que llamen y investigan dónde están localizados los refugios de las tormentas en la área donde ustedes viven. Como ustedes todos ya saben estamos en el tiempo de los tornados y si usted no tiene un sótano tiene que saber (tener un plan) donde usted puede ir en caso de una advertencia. Recuerde que un tornado watch quiere decir que es posible que se forme un tornado en su área. Usted debe escuchar su radio local y las noticias de la televisión para estar pendiente de lo que esta ocurriendo.Un tornado warning es cuando un tornado realmente está ocurriendo, busque el refugio inmediatamente. Un vehículo, remolque o tráiler no proporciona protección buena. Planee ir rápidamente a un edificio con una fundación fuerte, si es posible. Determine de antemano donde usted tomará el refugio en caso de una advertencia del tornado. ¡Simplemente, padres manténganse informados! Cambiando de tema, recuerden nuestro FEW en español (fin de semana de Enriquecimiento Familiar) se llevara acabo el 26 de octubre, y 27. ¡Nosotros estamos ansiosamente esperando esa experiencia divertida y de mucho aprendizaje! Conformé el tiempo se acerque nosotros tendremos más información para las familias. Así que, disfrute su tiempo de verano juntos familias, y recuerden siempre trate de ser un buen amigo ¡LAS PERSONAS NO SIEMPRE PODRÍAN RECORDAR LO QUE USTED LES DIJO O LES HIZO, PERO ELLOS SIEMPRE RECORDARÁN CÓMO USTED LES HIZO SENTIRSE! ¡!!!
